Anton is not careless. He lives in two places, and his things do not.

Anton has two of nearly everything. Two beds, two toothbrushes, two sets of clothes that never quite match up. But only one of some things — and that one is always at the other house. On Wednesdays he changes house in the middle of the week. He packs on Tuesday night. He always forgets something. Sometimes he forgets which house he is going to after school.

This is book 3 of six. All six are set in the same classroom, 3A, with the same six children. In every other book Anton is just someone in the background. In this one, you see the world from the inside.

What is in the book

  • 14 illustrated spreads, written for children aged 6 and up
  • Short lines and simple words for children starting to read alone
  • A page of Anton's own advice: don't say "you'd forget your head" · don't ask which parent I like best · ask me how I am on a Wednesday
  • A page for the grown-up, with three questions to talk about afterwards

How it works

The situation is never labelled in the story. The child simply tells you how the world feels. Living between two homes — and why duplication solves more than discipline — is explained on the last page, for the adult reading along.

Instant download. EPUB for e-readers and tablets, PDF for everything else. Both files included.
